We devote significant resources to the Great American Cleanup because our stores are a part of your community. Our goal is to help make communities across the country cleaner and safer places to call home for our customers, teammates and families.
INVOLVEMENT
For the past seven years, Firestone Complete Auto Care has been a proud national sponsor/partner of Keep America Beautiful and its Great American Cleanup and has donated supplies, materials and thousands of volunteer hours to make our communities more beautiful. Our teammates across the nation participate in Great American Cleanup events, and take the initiative to organize their own community cleanups.
RESULTS
Firestone Complete Auto Care stores are part of a united, nationwide effort that has collected more than 288 million pounds of litter and other debris during thousands of cleanup events. As part of these efforts, our stores have recycled do-it-yourselfer motor oil for proper disposal and recycling, and have donated the use of wood chippers to turn downed branches and debris into mulch. We have also participated in the collection, removal and proper disposal of 2.5 million scrap tires and 118,000 car batteries collected during community cleanup events. One example of our efforts is when Firestone Complete Auto Care teammates helped to clean up a part of hurricane-ravaged Biloxi, Mississippi, also contributing gloves, hats and food for the other event volunteers.
