Rated 5 out of 5 by from Treated Like Family I was noticing an unpleasant squeal noise every time I put my car in reverse so I went to Firestone. It turned out my front brake pads and calipers needed replacement as well as the rear drums. I wasn't able to pay for both services, so they recommended I just do the front for now since it was the true safety issue. I shared that I was an engineer so they would understand my reasons for wanting to hear what exactly needed to be done and why (just how my brain works). I was even taken out to my vehicle after the brakes had been taken apart so I could see the severe wear and scoring for myself. This made me feel respected and increased my trust in their recommendations. We had to wait an hour for my new brakes to be delivered before the work could even be done. Unfortunately, I didn't have a way to be picked up (new in town) so I stayed in the lobby area for several hours. During this time, I could see that customers were treated fairly and the manager told me about how it's his goal that every person is treated like family. Then, once the new pads and calipers were on, the mechanic took my car for a test. He noticed that one caliper wasn't behaving correctly and insisted that we get a different one to replace it. I had to wait longer, but I appreciated his dedication to my safety and for doing things the right way. Of course, it's not fun to have to pay for new brakes and sit around, but when it really counted, Firestone was there for me. I will definitely be back to replace my rear brakes when it's time and for any other service I need. Thank you!
