Rated 1 out of 5 by from An Unpleasant Experience I took my car to Firestone to get my windshield wipers fixed. I was told that the part needed to repair the issue would come in the next day. After waiting most of that next day, I called in to inquire about the status of the repair, and I was told that the part had not arrived yet. I told the technician that I absolutely had to have the car by the next afternoon for an important trip. I told the man that if it wasn't going to get fixed by the next day, then I wanted to take it somewhere else so that I could get to my destination safely. He gave me his guarantee that the car would be ready by 4pm the next day. A friend drove me to the Firestone parking lot a little after 4pm that next day. My car was at the back of the lot outside of the building. I arrived to find that the hood had been taken off of my car and placed on top of the roof. I called Firestone to let them know that I did not appreciate that my car was left alone and in this state. I had no idea how long it had been that way, possibly exposed to the elements and in plain site where anyone could steal the car parts! The technician I spoke to did not offer me an apology, but instead told me that the car was taken apart in the lot, because it was being worked on there. That's still puzzling to me! Additionally, he defended the fact that there was a pad between the hood and the roof, completely ignoring my concerns. That was not the issue I had, and I felt very disrespected by the way I was treated, both over the phone and by the manner in which my car was handled during the process. My car was not fixed in time for my trip, and I will not return to Firestone for any further repairs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unsatisfied with service I have used them in the past year for two different vehicles, and the service has been less than stellar. Just a year ago this February, I came in for an oil change and inspection for a 2006 Nissan Maxima and within a few days, I noticed an oil leak from my filter housing that I had to pay them to fix. There was no leak present before the oil change. Just this past November, I brought a Toyota Highlander for an oil change, brake work and an inspection. Ended up having to purchase a new caliper. Once vehicle was completed and returned to me, I inspected the vehicle and realized that the dipstick was left partially out of the engine with oil splatter all over the engine. Also, the brake reservoir went low a day afterwards. Seems the technician was in a rush and didn't finish his processes. How simple was it to place the oil dipstick back into it's slot and I thought that bleeding the brakes and ensuring the brake fluid level was correct was part of the brake repair process. I paid good money for the services so I expect the job to be done correctly and professionally. Mostly it seems that every time I take a vehicle in for service, I end up having to pay extra for something that was fine before I brought the vehicle in for service. Not impressed and have started utilizing Automotive Repair Services elsewhere because I don't trust the technicians workmanship. I thought that it was maybe one technician but it seems to be a problem that is evident throughout the entire shop. I have expressed my concerns with the manager, but I no longer trust that branches services. Is this something that is the norm throughout all of the Firestone Repair Shops?
