Rated 2 out of 5 by from Service not completed I have been a customer of Firestone for many years. I recommend Firestone to my siblings and mother. I have had great service for years and continue to come to this same location because of a trust in the experiences I have had. This last round I came in regarding and odd tire wear and vibration with my girlfriends beetle which I also have serviced at this location for oil changes and tire rotations. My girlfriend set the appointment initially and mentioned with emphasis there was some vibration coming from her front end. She drive 200 miles a day and I really try to keep he car in good shape as I do not know what I'd do if something went really wrong like a bad blow out or suspension failure while surround by the aggressive non-drivers we have on the roads these days. We were told she needed new tires which was fine but the technicians never check on the vibration coming from the front of the car. The did the alignment and even after the complete service I noticed the tech just parked the car after the service. He didn't do a quick drive test like I believe used to be done to be sure there were no problems. After the service and on the drive home my girlfriend called to crying because the problem she spoke on had not been taken care of. Her stress was all the money she put into tires, balance and alignment and no one took the time to verify the service or her initial complaint. I drove the car and at 5mph I noticed the front end being jumpy. In fact I noticed it when I put the car into gear to back it out of our stall. I took it to a friend of mine and found she has a busted axle. Something that was very close to completely failing and could have cause a accident on the road or much further damage to her car after complete failure. I was very angry to find this out and lost a good deal of the feel of credibility from the service we had this time around. Considering how bad thing were and the fact it was mentioned to the techs, this situation is completely unacceptable. If it wasn't that my girlfriend's life could have been affected by this mishap I would not rate so low. I have been going to this Firestone for years and have never had a problem until now.

Wouldn't use unless only option Used them a week ago because my usual shop was closed, and Firestone was open On a Sunday two weekends ago my vehicle quit starting, and I figured it was one of three issues; the starter, distributor or alternator had gone out (was hoping it was the starter of those three possibilities). I'd already assessed that it was the battery. I have the vehicle brought in for a diagnostic which was $99, I thought that was expensive but had no other choice since the vehicle wasn't starting. They couldn't get to the vehicle until early Monday morning since they're busy on Sunday's, so the vehicle had to stay at the shop overnight. It turned out to be the starter, and Monday morning was quoted $510 to fix that. That's insane to replace a starter. I could get a starter from Autozone or Kragen for a 2006 Honda Accord for $160 minus discount. But let's say it cost me $200, that's still $300 in labor that they were charging for something that takes an hour to replace. So I decided to look elsewhere and another shop nearby said they'd replace the starter for less. Firestone decided to drop the price by about $80. Again since I'd have to tow the car to the other shop, I went with Firestone's new price and they said the car would be ready by the end of the day Monday. I get off of work at 5pm and still haven't been notified that my car is ready, it's at almost 6 that I got a call saying that the starter they got from the dealership was faulty. And it would take another day to get the new part and fix the car. So now that's another day without my car. I'm able to pick my car up Tuesday evening and talk to the guy at the front desk about the issues with turn around time, and he took $15 off the total (better than nothing, but only $15?). When I get the service receipt I looked at the cost breakdown, and they charged me double what a starter runs in an auto parts store. If I wasn't stuck in the first place and could diagnose the issue myself at home, I would have saved myself over $400 in overpriced parts and labor and 2 days without my vehicle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Courtesy Call I had an appointment for an alignment on Friday at 8am. When I arrived the guy told me that the machine broke and they have someone working on it now and asked if I could wait. I couldn't wait because I had conference calls for work and that is why I made an appointment in the first place. I understand that things happend, but I didn't receive a courtesy call or any notification to let me know that the machine broke or the appointment needed to be pushed back /rescheduled. It's common courtesy if your patrons set appointments, the business should be responsible to notify them of any changes. I will make sure to call beforehand, as the business is not reliable to provide courtesy calls.
