Rated 4 out of 5 by from good service Problem was fixed but they did not put a paper down on my floor and as a result I have black stains on my tan carpet from all of the mechanics getting in and out of my truck. Not thrilled

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Service! I took my car in for an oil change about an hour and half before closing, and the employee who helped me assured me that my car would be ready before closing. While performing the oil change, they noticed that my brake pads needed to be replaced and that I needed new windshield wipers. They were able to complete everything that same day, and were very helpful and informative. I would definitely recommend this Firestone to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Attempted to cheat my wife My wife took her car in to have a nail removed from the center of the tread on Tuesday last week. The tire was not deflated and maybe the nail hadn't penetrated all the way through. She was told she needed a new tire which was installed and paid for by credit card. On Thursday when I got back into town I went to the store and told them a new tire wasn't required and that I wanted the old one back. I was told it was gone. Asked to see the manager, Brad and was told he would be back in on Saturday. Store clerk showed me your paperwork and scrawled on the back it said, "Side wall problem." This was NOT a sidewall problem. The nail was right in the center of the tread. I informed Capitol One of the problem and they agreed to credit the charge back to my card. Visited Brad on Saturday and told him the situation and that I wasn't going to pay for a new tire. He said "Well if you're not going to pay for it that's the end of the matter." I said, I don't mind paying you something," (the removed tire had 17,000 miles on it) Brad said, "No if you aren't going to pay the issue is closed." I was very surprised by his compliant attitude and can only assume that you have a situation in that store that you are resolving. Your store is walking distance from my house and this was the first time I had used you. I don't think this is the basis for future business.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Expensive! I took my car into Firestone at Lovers and the Tollway in Dallas last week because my AC was going back and forth between blowing cold and not blowing cold. They did an "AC Evacuate and Recharge" for $110. A day or two later, I was having the same problem. Instead of taking off more time from work, I took it in on Saturday. This time they told me I needed a new compressor, and that it was going to cost $1,300. Not only can I barely afford that, I feel like that's something they should have detected during the first visit. I told them not to do anything to my car and that I'd pick it up soon. I've done research, and for the work Firestone is saying my car needs, the price range is between $800-$1,300 - putting Firestone at the very highest price point. I've been a loyal customer for many years and am really disappointed by this. It makes me feel like Firestone is taking advantage of / looking to make a buck off of my lack of knowledge on the subject of AC repair... And sadly, it makes me wonder if I've been overcharged (the same as being taken advantage of, in my eyes) in the past when I've just trusted them and paid for the work they said I needed done. I found a very reputable garage on Angie's List that can do the work for $875 plus tax, and that also comes with a warranty. A $400 difference is very significant to me, as it would be to most people. I hate to say that I won't be going back to Firestone in the future, but I will definitely question their pricing if I do. On a good note, I did receive excellent customer service from Kristian, who checked me in and out and patiently explained everything to me. He is to be commended for that. When he told me it was going to be $1,300, I was shocked and he handled it like a true professional. Please let him know that that was very much appreciated. I hope Firestone takes this candid review to heart and considers adjusting prices when competitors are able to do the same work at a much lower cost.
