Rated 5 out of 5 by from fast service i found a nail in my tire, i called in an was able to get a same day appointment with 1-2 hours of my call. Justin, the service advisor promptly greeted me and took my vehicle in within 2 minutes of when i walked in and Trevor the tech working on my vehicle had my tire repaired quickly. i was in and out in 30 minutes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not so good I recently had the timing belt kit for my 2004 V6 Toyota Highlander replaced at Firestone in 327 Hartford TPKE Vernon CT. For starter, it took over 8 hours for a job that should have taken the promised 4 hours, they claimed it was a very busy day and it?s a very involved job. Although I was not contented with the answer, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and said ok fine. When I picked up the car at the end of the day, I asked if there was any problems with the job that was done, they said no not at all. I said it took longer than usual, I thought you may have run into trouble, again they said not at all. So I paid in full ($843), took the work receipt and left. When I reviewed the service receipt in the car, I noticed the following statement made by Firestone auto service technician: ?TIMING KIT CONTAINED NEW TENSIONER, WE COULD REMOVE OLD TENSIONER, BOLT THAT HOLDS TENSIONER ON TO BLOCK WILL NOT COME OFF. DID NOT WANT TO RISK IT BREAKING. WE WERE ABLE TO INSTALL NEW BELT AND PUMP? So the questions I have are, 1. Is the car safe to operate? 2. Is there a risk in the car?s timing belt miss-operation that may lead to engine damage? 3. Is it normal NOT to tell the customer about what really happen when the customer specifically asked if there was any problem? 4. Although the timing belt job is referred to as water pump kit, the kit was not used in its entirety, is that normal? Does firestone approve this practice? The following day, after sending the initial complaint to the corporate office ( may be it did get to the corporate office) the manager called me, apologized and said he should have been straight forward with me should have told me about the problem from the beginning, and offered to try replacing the tensioner, I agreed. I asked him to save all part for me which he agreed to. I dropped the car off that afternoon, later that afternoon he called me and said they were able to remove the bolt and replace the tensioner and car will be ready for pick up the next day. I went the next day to pick up the car and asked for the parts, he said they were thrown in the dumpster, I said why? I asked you to save the parts for me, he looked at me in the eyes and said I don?t recall that conversation. Customer invoice: 236579

Rated 4 out of 5 by from exceptional customer service I had an appountment and they were on time. I had a tire on a brand new car with a nail in it with less than 1000 miles. The store Manager matched the dealers price and was able to put on road Hazzard on all 4 tires. That was a big time saver and help, especially not being very close to the car dealer.
