WHAT’S A RECOMMENDED SERVICE SCHEDULE?
Your vehicle manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule is one of the best ways to keep your vehicle car running smoother for longer while helping avoid costly repairs. A regular maintenance schedule is designed to ensure each essential system in your vehicle is working properly and catch any issues before they turn into bigger problems. The specific schedule for your vehicle will vary by manufacturer. Routine maintenance services involve simple services like filter and fluid replacements, tire rotations, and general parts inspections that come at various mileage intervals. OIL & FILTER CHANGE
An expert technician will drain and refill your motor oil, install a new oil filter, recycle your used oil and oil filter, inspect other essential filters, top off your wiper fluid, and perform a 19-point Courtesy Check. Traditional advice states you should have your oil changed every 3,000 miles, but with advancements in oil technology, the right interval for your vehicle may vary.
TIRE ROTATION
A tire rotation consists of removing the tires from their current locations and rotating them to another location on the vehicle to allow for even tread wear. Tire rotation patterns may vary depending on the tire’s tread direction and your vehicle’s drivetrain. Generally, you should rotate your tires between 5,000 and 7,500 miles. Make sure to reference your owner's manual for the mileage interval specific to your vehicle.
WIPER BLADES
We will evaluate the condition of your wiper blades and check your windshield wiper fluid level. If approved, we’ll remove your old wipers, install new ones, and refill your windshield wiper fluid. Wiper blades should be replaced every 6 to 12 months or sooner if you notice they no longer adequately clean your windshield.
ENGINE & CABIN AIR FILTER
We can inspect and remove your old, dirty filters and install new ones if approved so you and your engine both get the fresh air you need while driving. Both filters should be inspected regularly and replaced on an as-needed basis or at the manufacturer’s recommended mileage.
WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Wheel alignment services include inspection and adjustments to your vehicle’s steering and suspension system. We’ll adjust your vehicle’s wheel alignment according to OEM specs, as well as check your tire air pressure levels. Wheel alignment checks are recommended every 6,000 miles or 6 months as part of your maintenance practice.
BRAKE FLUID EXCHANGE
We’ll test the condition of your brake fluid. If any service is needed, with approval, we’ll perform a complete brake fluid exchange. Check your owner’s manual for recommended brake fluid exchange intervals for your vehicle.
SPARK PLUG REPLACEMENT
Spark plugs wear out over time due to extreme temperatures, normal wear and tear, and outside debris and contaminants. Spark plugs can play a crucial role in the performance of your car and should be replaced at the recommended intervals, which can vary based on the vehicle manufacturer.
WHAT DETERMINES RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE INTERVALS?
There are three factors considered when determining your vehicle’s ideal maintenance interval: manufacturer recommendations, mileage, and driving conditions (normal vs. severe).
Based on mileage, the most common routine maintenance schedule is on a 30-60-90 interval, meaning you should perform essential preventative maintenance about every 30,000 miles. Manufacturer recommendations are a baseline set for brand-new vehicles, but your ideal schedule will vary based on your driving habits, road conditions, and vehicle age. We base our recommendations on OEM vehicle maintenance schedules.
Every vehicle is unique, and various parts can wear out at irregular intervals depending on your driving habits. Some services, such as oil changes and tire rotations, are performed more frequently than others.
